WEDDING UPDATE

We know we are not alone when we say 2020 did not go according to plan; but through this all we have been committed to getting married on November 21st, 2020. We have made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding in Half Moon Bay and will join the trend of having a micro wedding on November 21st. We were so excited to have everyone with us on our big day and could not imagine having this major life moment and not celebrate with you. While we can’t be together on our wedding day we can’t wait to celebrate with you at an after party! We will wait to determine a date until it is safe for everyone to gather, you can only imagine the guest list as we both come from large Irish Catholic families. As the saying goes, “ain’t no party like the after party,” and what a party it will be to make up for all the missed celebrations this year!

All our love,

Kate & Jake

OUR STORY

HOW WE MET

A questionable photo of Jake in a hot dog suit gave Kate pause but we both swiped right and our bumble romance began. A few horrible jokes later and Kate somehow still agreed to meet up for a drink.

THE FIRST DATE

A vodka soda and Jameson on the rocks, we met up for drinks at The Patio and Jake may have even stolen a kiss goodnight.

THE PROPOSAL

Picture this: You've packed your bags for a weekend away with the one you love and you have no idea where you are going. Instead of heading to the airport he takes you on an adventure across the peninsula with hiking, food and drinks at all of your favorite spots. Finally, at sunset, he get's down on one knee on a trail overlooking the water.

That was our engagement day on 11.22.19 and of course Kate said yes! Don't worry, she did get her trip as the next morning we set off to the desert for some much needed R&R.
